This explains what Jet-Radius collects and why. There are two groups of people: the businesses that sign up (our customers), and the people who connect to those businesses' WiFi.
Businesses that sign up
We keep the details you give us when you register (business name, email, phone), your plan and payments for it, your settings, and a log of actions in your account. We use them to run your account, to bill you, to send you messages about your account and to give you support.
People who use a hotspot
The business that runs the WiFi decides how it is used. To make the hotspot work, Jet-Radius stores, for that business, the voucher or username used to log in, the phone number given when buying a package, the device address (MAC), the times of each session, and how much data was used. The business can see this. We use it only to provide the service to that business.
Payments
Customers pay through Geolytech Pay or the business's own Paystack account. Card and mobile money details are entered on the payment provider's page. Jet-Radius does not see or store them. We keep the payment reference, amount and status.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the services needed to run Jet-Radius: payment providers for payments, and our hosting and email delivery. We may disclose it if the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep a business's data while its account is open. When an account is deleted, its data is removed from the live system, and from backups as they expire (backups are kept for 14 days).
Security
Passwords are stored as hashes. Keys and secrets for routers and payments are stored encrypted. Pages are served over HTTPS. Staff access to accounts is logged.
Your choices
If you are a customer of a hotspot, ask the business that runs it about your data. If you are a business, you can ask us to export or delete your data at any time. See the contact page.
